Bios
Jessica Benson is excited to perform with such a talented cast for Godspell. She has her degree in Vocal Performance from the U of U and is a member of the Utah Opera Chorus. She loves being an actress, singer, and voice teacher. Some of her favorite roles include Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, Nannetta in Falstaff, and various other roles in parodies with the Off Broadway Theater.
Beth Bruner first directed "Godspell" as a full production in 2001 for Wasatch Theatre Company. She has a fondness for script-in-hand; she ran StageRight's series of classics, and her company Motley Wandering Minstrels does a Gilbert & Sullivan almost every year.
Matthew Davids was first involved in a production of Godspell at age 11 when he was the lighting technician, his father directed, and his brother was Jesus. He is thrilled to be able to perform in such a fun show and play such an interesting role in a show that's always held a special place in his mind. He would like to thank the cast for being such delightfully talented and enjoyable people.
Gregory Harrison is a performer, voice teacher, and music director. He's currently preparing for Next to Normal as music director and The Scarlet Pimpernel as Ben. His latest roles include Oberon in Phantom, Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, "The Man in the a Yellow Suit" in Tuck Everlasting, and Diesel in West Side Story. "You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love." - Jim Carrey
Katelyn Johnson has had a lifelong love of musical theater and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theater from Weber State University. Some favorite roles include Emma Goldman in Ragtime, Sister Mary Hubert in Nunsense, and The The Baker's Wife in Into the Woods. By day she runs an arts center for adults with disabilities and loves every second of it!
Pauline Mendes is totally enjoying her first experience at the Box! She returned to acting a few years ago and it has been a blast! She is currently preparing to play "Grandma" at On Pitch Performing Arts this Halloween. Since this was the first show she was cast in when returning on stage, it has a special place in her heart.
Incachi (also known as Erika Ovuoba) is excited to be apart of this Godspell cast. She has performed with Plan B, SLAC, Hale Center Theater, and Centerpointe to name a few. Incachi has earned a BFA in theatre from UVU; one of her favorite roles was playing Princess Puffer in the Mystery of Edwin Drood. Incachi has found a new love for Utah’s nature after living in NYC (briefly before quarentine changed her plans!) Nature has been keeping her grounded in the midst of the chaos of 2020. She hopes everyone enjoys themselves tonight and does something they love everyday.

Cami is a marketing strategist who loves theatre and is lucky enough to get herself on stage every so often. She's performed in several SLC-area productions over the years, with companies including New World Shakespeare, Wasatch Theatre Company., and Silver Summit Theatre Company. She currently appears in Kallisti Theatre Company's filmed production of My Gay Baptism, opening Jul. 31 at the GSL Fringe Festival. Other recent projects include The Open Syrup and Much Ado About Nothing. Twenty years ago, Cami was cast and directed by Beth Bruner for the first time in a production of Godspell. The impact of this experience continues in Cami's life to this day, as so many of her longstanding relationships can trace their roots there. Thanks for taking a chance on me, Beth. You're forever dear in my heart.
Dee Tua'one is her own miracle. He is Honored to play Jesus as a Person of Color. She sees this Garden as a place to grow and he gives her voice as seeds.

Help us reach our goal!
We have established a Go Fund Me to help keep our doors open during the pandemic. So many small businesses have been struggling. Unlike some theatre organizations, we have to pay rent from month to month even with no performances. It still does not feel safe to have indoor performances especially in a small performance space like ours, where social distancing is difficult. We have received some support from the Cares Act but are still in need of more. We have a $3,000 goal. Can you give even a little to help us? Follow the link HERE. THANK YOU!
Other ways to help
Consider purchasing a theatre angel. Only $10. All proceeds go to The Box.
