The George F. Plautz Theatre Co-Op is a concept that supports theatre organizations and artists to be the best they can be by providing needed rehearsal, performance, and meeting space and an air of collegiality and collaboration.
If the pandemic taught us anything, it's that we can't do this alone. The theatre and performing arts communities work best TOGETHER. The George F. Plautz Theatre Co-Op is meant to foster an environment of BELONGING, where theatre organization and artists are welcomed to COLLABORATE, NETWORK, and LEARN. It is meant to be a a rehearsal space, a performance space, and/or a meeting space--whatever is needed to support theatres. The Co-Op is not confined to a brick-and-mortar space but can operate as a theatre COLLECTIVE to advance the independent and collective goals of all.
