He is the founder of Wasatch Theatre Company. Jim is the proud papa of Jayden, Chuck, Rosie, Misty, and Milo (only one of those is human). Jim is currently pursuing his MFA in directing through the University of Idaho at Moscow. He sends love to his Dad.

GEORGE PLAUTZ has been writing, acting, directing and producing for the theatre for more than 40 years - 20 of them with Wasatch. A few of his favorites with Wasatch were Grey Gardens as director, Stories of Hawaii as playwright and Hands Up as playwright/lyricist and director. He helped create Bookspeak Theatre Company and The Starry-Eyed Puppets which performed in numerous locations in the greater Salt Lake area. Before going to China, George retired as director of the English Language Institute at the University of Utah where he directed more than 75 productions with his ESL students. Most recently for Wasatch he performed in Happy and wrote a play for last year's virtual Fringe Festival which was named best in its category. He has been chosen for a month-long residency at the Writer's Colony at Dairy Hollow, Arkansas to work on a new musical.

Stephanie Sabin has been teaching singers of all levels for thirty years and music directing and conducting for just over twelve. A performing vocalist herself, she is aware of how to bring together the music and the performer on the stage. Stephanie's introduction to the conductor's stand was first as Composer in Residence with San Diego Opera's Words and Music education outreach program in 2010-11. Soon followed the full production of Kiss Me Kate, at the Canyon Crest Academy Performing Arts School in San Diego, CA. She continued with other productions including her favorites Avenue Q (CCA), Once on this Island (Pacific Ridge School) and Violet (Coronado Playhouse, Coronado, CA.). Stephanie has a thriving online private voice studio and now resides in Salt Lake City after living in San Diego, CA for 23 years. She's closer to family, and embarking on a new adventure. "It's been such a pleasure working with the Wasatch Theater members on this fun and thoughtful program. A special Thank You to Sallie Cooper for introducing me to her incredibly talented colleagues!"
